Mackenzie, like many people in the veterinary field, has a love for animals. She particularly has a passion for strengthening the bond between owner and pet, through medicine and client education. 

Mackenzie grew up an Army brat and moved around quite a bit, spending most of her life in Colorado. After receiving her undergraduate degree in biology at the University of Northern Colorado in 2019, she pursued getting licensed as a veterinary technician. After two additional years of school, an internship and passing the Veterinary Technician National Exam she reached that goal. Mackenzie mostly has experience in small animal general practice as well as exotics and pocket pets. She enjoys participating in surgery and monitoring anesthesia as well as helping people better understand their pets and their needs.

 In her spare time she loves to hang out with her fur baby Gambit, a sassy 4 year old Akita, and her husband. Mackenzie and her husband Ethan like to spend time country dancing, going to the lake and nerding out watching Marvel, Harry Potter and Star Wars movies!
