Kristal has always wanted to be in the veterinary profession and has enjoyed working with many different species of animals. She started in the veterinary field in 1995 as a kennel technician in an AAHA clinic in NC. She moved on to becoming a veterinary assistant / technician for clinics in TN, AL, and GA. She has experience with dogs, cats, birds, reptiles, rabbits, and ferrets. She says she enjoys all parts of her technician duties, but is especially fond of working with nervous patients whose trust she can win, and blood draws. 

When not working with animals at work she has her own little “zoo” at home. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. Family time often includes cookouts with extended family and neighbors. Kristal also likes to take photos of “everything”, listen to Audible, and read.
