Managing DVM

Dr. Stacia McCutchen

Dr. Stacia's passion for veterinary medicine began at an early age, when she knew by first grade that she wanted to dedicate her life to caring for animals. Since then, she has pursued that dream with unwavering commitment, focusing on areas like anesthesia, pain management, and client education to ensure the highest quality care for her patients.

Dr. Stacia joined Northside Animal Hospital in 2018, bringing with her years of experience from Meriden Animal Hospital in Connecticut, where she practiced for three years. She earned her undergraduate degree in Animal Science from the University of Connecticut before pursuing her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Ross University. During her clinical year at Auburn University, Dr. Stacia fell in love with life in the Southeast, and it ultimately became the perfect place to settle. Since earning her DVM in 2015, she has specialized in small animal general medicine, with a particular affection for working with rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, and other pocket pets.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. Stacia enjoys spending time with her husband, Shea, and their expansive family of 7 cats and 7 dogs. When she’s not caring for animals, she finds joy in reading, shopping, and crafting. Whether at work or at home, Dr. Stacia’s dedication to animals and her loved ones shines through in everything she does.
